Author Bio

Saifedean Ammous is a Lebanese-American economist and author best known for his work on Bitcoin and monetary economics. He earned his PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University in 2011 and has taught economics at the Lebanese American University. Ammous gained international recognition with his 2018 book The Bitcoin Standard: The Decentralized Alternative to Central Banking, which explores the history of money and the role of Bitcoin as a potential alternative to fiat currency.
