I'm just getting into meditation and this work by Sam Harris is just the primer for it. As an atheist myself, the idea of mediation always had this negative religious connotation attached to it. Harris removes this idea by illustrating the science behind meditation and its proven benefits.

Think “The Ruins” meets “The Lord of the Flies”...that is the The Troop.
A gripping, grisly and great read!

Except for a couple of busy weeks, this was a book I literally could not put down. A fun, thrilling and nostalgic tale that will resonate with anyone...especially people who grew up in the 80's! Can't wait for Spielberg's version next year!

A bit of a struggle for me to get through. Had it not been only a couple hundred pages I very well may have given up on it.
But this book won the Pulitzer, so don't listen to me.

What a ride! (Pun intended ..ha ha!)
